The transition introduces a new name and brand identity, a new third-party administrator, and the launch of a new five-year strategic plan, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter of growth, connection, wellbeing, and service to members.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, The Director, Business Development will lead the national growth strategy for Entente Education Canada’s membership and the Entente Plus Group Insurance Program. The Director will establish and lead the business development function, including the creation and implementation of five-year strategic growth aligned with the Strategic Plan 2030.
By strengthening existing partnerships and advancing new strategic opportunities across Canada, this client-facing B2C and B2B role will be central to expanding the organization’s market share within the education sector and beyond. Through innovative business development initiatives designed to grow market share and open new market opportunities, the Director will work with other team members to deliver the objectives of the strategic plan 2030.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a highly strategic, relationship-driven leader with proven experience developing new markets and growing market share. They bring deep experience identifying and cultivating new opportunities. The successful candidate has demonstrated experience negotiating agreements, ideally within the insurance, benefits, or financial services sector, with familiarity in group insurance, self-insured benefit plans, or benefits administration structures considered a strong asset. A natural connector and persuasive communicator, the successful candidate combines a practical understanding of AI, a strong commercial acumen with a collaborative approach and a passion for advancing the mission of a purpose-driven organization. Bilingualism would be an asset.
This is a publicly advertised job posting for a new position with Entente, a dynamic member-engaged, bilingual organization. The expected salary range for this position is $180,000 – $190,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
