Reporting to the Vice President, Operations and Real Estate Partnerships (OREP), the AVP, S&E is the CEO of a 140M+ self-funded portfolio of student- and business-focused operations on the St. George campus. They lead a talented team of over 500 staff across housing, food services, retail, hospitality, real estate operations, and administrative services, shaping experiences that define campus life. The AVP ensures exceptional service, financial sustainability, and operational excellence across a complex and world-class institution. Thriving in a decentralized environment, the AVP builds strong partnerships across the University and beyond, enhancing operations, elevating services, and maximizing revenue-generating assets. They champion strategic growth, from new residence developments to evolving real estate partnerships and modernized processes, leaving a lasting impact on the campus community.

The ideal candidate brings senior leadership experience in managing large, revenue-generating operations, with expertise spanning student housing and real estate, student services, food services, hospitality, and conference and event services. They will have strong strategic and P&L experience, a track record of leading change in unionized environments, and the ability to operate effectively within complex, multi-stakeholder governance structures. An exceptional communicator, they engage diverse stakeholders with credibility and diplomacy, inspire high-performing teams, and build collaborative relationships across the University and with external partners. They demonstrate strong financial acumen, sound judgment, and the strategic and operational leadership required to guide a complex portfolio.
