Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Director, Client Relationship Management will be a trusted partner to Middlefield’s most prominent advisor relationships, providing proactive, high‑touch support and tailored guidance. This role is central to deepening client engagement through a solution‑first mindset, understanding each client’s unique business needs, anticipating opportunities, and offering thoughtful, technically grounded advice across the firm’s strategies. Working closely with sales & marketing, portfolio management, operations, and the executive team, the Director will serve as a key point of contact, address complex inquiries, and identify opportunities to expand Middlefield’s strategic footprint with existing relationships. The role also carries internal leadership dimensions, including coaching junior team members and helping shape the firm’s relationship management program through data, insights, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is an experienced relationship manager with a strong track record serving retail, institutional, or high‑net‑worth clients within the asset or wealth management industry. They bring at least five years of direct senior relationship management experience, strong technical grounding in investment management and the Canadian wealth ecosystem, superb communication and presentation skills, and the judgment required to navigate nuanced client issues. They are analytical, resourceful, and highly personable; comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment where clients are at the centre of all decisions. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required; an MBA is considered an asset.
