Chief Executive Officer, E-Comm 911

Greater Vancouver / Lower Mainland, British Columbia

Hybrid

E-Comm 9-1-1 is committed to delivering exceptional emergency communications services that help save lives and protect property across British Columbia. As the first point of contact for 9-1-1 callers across 25 regional districts, E-Comm handles more than two million calls annually and provides dispatch services for police and fire agencies across the province. Operating in a 24/7 mission-critical environment, the organization also manages the largest multi-jurisdictional, tri-service emergency radio network in B.C.

E-Comm is entering a pivotal period defined by increasing call volumes, evolving service expectations, and technology modernization, including the implementation of Next Generation 9-1-1. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will provide overall strategic leadership and operational guidance through this critical phase. The CEO will oversee the continued modernization of technology and infrastructure, while ensuring service excellence across operations. The role will also play a central part in strengthening trust-based relationships with municipalities, public safety partners, and provincial stakeholders, and ensuring transparency and accountability within a cost-recovery model.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished senior executive with a track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder organizations through transformation. They bring strong strategic, financial, and operational leadership capabilities, along with a proven ability to build alignment, navigate complexity, and deliver measurable results. The successful candidate will be based in Greater Vancouver / Lower Mainland, British Columbia or willing to relocate.

The target compensation for this role is $340k – $370k plus membership in the Municipal Pension Plan, car allowance, and benefits, and vacation commensurate with the role.
