The Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer (CFO/COO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership across the organization’s financial and operational functions. Reporting to the President & CEO, the CFO/COO supports financial sustainability, operational excellence, risk management, and long-term growth. The role oversees financial management, capital planning, security, human resources, legal, food & beverage, IT partnerships, procurement, governance, and business operations. The CFO/COO will advance strategic priorities while helping deliver exceptional client experiences and maintain a safe, efficient, and sustainable facility. The CFO/COO works closely with the Board of Directors, government stakeholders, and business partners to ensure sound management, accountability, and effective execution.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, collaborative CPA with strong financial leadership, operational breadth, and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality, tourism, service excellence, and community impact. They bring the credibility to oversee complex financial and governance responsibilities, the agility to contribute to a lean environment, and the relationship skills to partner effectively with the CEO, Board, staff, and stakeholders. With an appreciation for destination venues, tourism-driven business, and high-touch hospitality environments, they balance commercial objectives with public-sector accountability and help position Rogers Centre Ottawa for long-term success.
