Located in Edmonton and reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Chief People Officer (CPO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and provides strategic leadership for people, culture, talent, and organizational effectiveness across Edmonton International Airport (YEG). As the Airport continues to evolve and grow, the CPO will play a critical role in aligning workforce strategies with business priorities, operational excellence, customer service, innovation, safety, and long-term organizational success.
The ideal candidate has experience in a consumer-based industry, and is a strategic, forward-thinking people leader with demonstrated experience shaping workforce strategy within a complex, service-oriented, and operationally intensive environment. They are skilled in aligning people and culture initiatives with organizational priorities and translating long-term business objectives into practical talent, leadership, and organizational effectiveness strategies that drive measurable results. A trusted advisor to executive leadership and Boards, the successful candidate combines strong business acumen with exceptional relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for people. They possess the ability to navigate complexity, balance competing priorities, and foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, innovation, and performance. With a thoughtful and pragmatic leadership style, they cultivate high-performing teams, develop future leaders, and create environments where employees are engaged, empowered, and able to contribute at their highest potential. Equally comfortable operating at both the strategic and enterprise level while remaining connected to the day-to-day realities of a dynamic organization, they bring curiosity, resilience, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement, helping Edmonton International Airport build the workforce capabilities required to support long-term growth, operational excellence, and most importantly, exceptional customer experiences.
