The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) is the indispensable partner of business and Canada’s largest, most influential provincial chamber. It is an independent, non-profit and non-partisan advocacy and member services organization representing a diverse network. The OCC has 60,000 members, including large multinational corporations, small-to-medium-sized enterprises, labour unions, post-secondary institutions, non-profits, associations and 150 local chambers of commerce and boards of trade. The OCC convenes, mobilizes and empowers businesses and local chambers in pursuit of its purpose: to bring inclusive and sustainable prosperity to Ontario’s businesses, workers, and communities.

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join the executive team as Vice President, Policy. This pivotal role will shape and advance public policy initiatives that reflect the needs of OCC members and support the organization’s mission of fostering inclusive and sustainable prosperity for Ontario’s businesses, workers, and communities. The Vice President will provide strategic leadership to the Policy department, developing and executing business and operational plans that drive long-term growth, establish measurable goals, and track progress against key milestones. This role will oversee engagement with OCC’s Policy Councils, members, and local chambers across the province.

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Vice President will serve as a senior advisor on priority policy issues and support the President and CEO and the organization through public speaking engagements and high-profile member events, including those hosted by boards of trade and chambers of commerce. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary policy leader who is passionate about driving impact, building strong relationships, and making a meaningful difference for Ontario’s business community.

The is an important, high-impact, and visible leadership role within the Ontario and Canadian business communities. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading complex policy initiatives and driving measurable results. You are a strategic thinker with deep expertise in policy development, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to influence across sectors. You have demonstrated success in shaping public policy, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting government relations at a senior level. A strong understanding of current policy priorities in Ontario and Canada is essential.
