The Director, Corporate Finance plays a strategic and operational leading role in the organization, as they are responsible for the sound financial management of the organization and for the delivery of efficient, value-added, cost-effective services. A member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer they play a vital role in strategic decision-making, long-term organizational planning and operations as CARE Canada continues to enhance its capacity and continuously strive for best in-class practices. The Director Corporate Finance leads a team with responsibility of overall financial operations including financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, auditing and financial reporting.

 

The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a seasoned finance leader with a CPA designation and a proven track record of leading fullcycle accounting operations, treasury, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, forecasting and financial reporting within complex environments. They bring a minimum of five years’ leadership experience, demonstrating strong team leadership and the ability to build a culture of financial excellence and continuous improvement. They excel at identifying and developing efficiencies, strengthening controls, and ensuring organizational accountability. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker who provides insightful financial analysis and forwardlooking advice to support senior leadership in resource allocation, risk identification, and organizational planning. They collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners, including auditors, government bodies, and international counterparts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This is a publicly advertised job posting for an existing vacancy. Expected compensation: $145,000 – $155,000 CAD. The role is remote based in Canada.
