Director, Western Continuing Studies, Western University
London, ON
We acknowledge that Western University is located on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Chonnonton Nations, on lands connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum. This land continues to be home to diverse Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) whom we recognize as contemporary stewards of the land and vital contributors of our society.
As Western University approaches its 150th anniversary in 2028, the institution is focused on advancing a bold strategic vision centred on expanding impact, strengthening community engagement, and responding to the needs of learners in a rapidly changing society. As a globally renowned research-intensive university and founding member of the U15 group of Canadian universities, Western’s strategic priorities emphasize innovation in teaching and learning, workforce relevance, community engagement, and expanding accessible, lifelong learning opportunities across diverse learner pathways.
Western Continuing Studies (WCS) plays a central role in these institutional directions. As Western’s continuing education portfolio, WCS connects the University’s educational strengths with emerging workforce, professional, and community learning needs. Through a growing portfolio of continuing professional education (CPE), certificates, diplomas, micro-credentials, and customized learning opportunities, WCS serves working professionals, organizations, alumni, and lifelong learners locally, regionally, and beyond.
