In this context, the Director, Information Technology plays a critical role in ensuring that technology effectively supports both day-to-day operations and the organization’s longer-term evolution. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director leads the organization’s IT function, ensuring dependable day‑to‑day technology operations while advancing systems, governance, and infrastructure to support a growing, multi‑site business. The role oversees a lean internal team and key external partners, with accountability for service delivery, core platforms and applications, vendor management, cybersecurity oversight, and the execution of priority IT initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency, resilience, and alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic IT leader with experience supporting complex, multi-site operations. They bring a strong track record in IT service delivery, infrastructure and application delivery, project leadership, and vendor management, ideally within operationally focused environments such as distribution, retail, or transportation. They are a hands-on, accountable leader who sets clear expectations, prioritizes effectively, and builds credibility through responsiveness, communication and follow-through. Comfortable working across departments, they communicate clearly with both technical teams and business stakeholders, translating operational needs into practical solutions. They demonstrate strong project management discipline, a collaborative approach to decision-making, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, along with a service-oriented mindset well aligned with the needs of a growing, privately held organization.

This is a publicly advertised job posting for an existing vacancy. Expected compensation range is $150,000 – $180,000 CAD, plus 20% STIP.
