A national organization with a significant public-interest mandate is seeking accomplished leaders to help steward capital investments that preserve and strengthen housing outcomes in communities across Canada.

 

The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and governance leadership for an organization dedicated to preserving and strengthening housing outcomes across Canada through the responsible deployment of investment capital. Directors will help guide organizational strategy, oversee risk and financial stewardship, and ensure the organization remains accountable to its public-interest mission.

 

The ideal candidate brings senior leadership and governance experience gained through service on public, private, not-for-profit, Crown agency, pension, financial institution, housing, Indigenous, community, or other complex boards and organizations. The ideal candidate will be recognized for their strategic perspective, sound judgment, commitment to accountability, and ability to contribute constructively within a governance environment. They work well in ambiguity and bring strong governance experience in scaling organizations. Experience related to housing, finance, investment oversight, public policy, risk management, Indigenous affairs, or community development would be considered valuable.

 

Board meetings will generally be conducted virtually and candidates may be located anywhere in Canada. Currently the Board cadence is once monthly with an anticipation of moving to quarterly meetings. These positions are volunteer roles, with approved expenses reimbursed.
