Chief Financial Officer, Confidential Organization
A national organization with a significant public-interest mandate is seeking an experienced financial executive to help steward capital investments that preserve and strengthen housing outcomes in communities across Canada.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the organization's financial management, risk oversight, reporting, compliance, and governance. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will help ensure the responsible stewardship of significant financial resources while supporting organizational growth, long-term sustainability, and mission delivery. This unique opportunity to establish and lead a finance function, develop financial systems and controls, and build the reporting and governance frameworks required to support a complex national mandate. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable providing strategic advice to senior leadership and the Board while maintaining a very active hands-on approach to core financial operations.
The ideal candidate is a CPA-designated leader with experience in financial management, governance, compliance, audit, risk management, and organizational growth. They have demonstrated success building lean teams, implementing financial systems and controls, and supporting executive and Board decision-making within complex and highly accountable environments. Success in this role will require an operational finance leader that brings strong judgment, integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to housing as a critical component of strong and resilient communities.
The organization works in a remote capacity, and some travel will be required.
Compensation
A competitive compensation package is offered, including a salary range of $210,000-$225,000 and a comprehensive benefits program.
