Working as part of an integrated team, the Leadership Solutions Manager provides support to the Leadership Advisory Practice (LAP) by serving as a project manager on our most complex and largest accounts. The role involves supporting our subject matter experts to help client engagements run smoothly, stay on time and on budget, and ensure successful execution and client satisfaction. Ultimately as a Leadership Solutions Manager you are key part of an integrated LAP solutions and support from the sales conversations to the successful implementation and delivery of the solution being seen as a trusted engagement manager to our internal team and clients.

Success in this role is characterized by a continuous improvement mindset, attention to detail, proficiency in a variety of software applications, responsiveness, curiosity to learn and grow, and taking initiative despite ambiguity. This role requires knowledge and high-level understanding of all LAP lines of offering (outlined above) and a keen appreciation of how they may work together and be delivered in highly complex and integrated manners. Working with diverse offerings, teams, partners, and clients is a foundation of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Project Management Accountabilities (may include supporting any of the following complex projects):

  • Provide overall client delivery oversight for more complex LAP offerings and integrated LAP offerings (solutions that involve more than one of the offerings listed below):
    • Leadership Assessment
    • Succession Advisory
    • CEO & Board Solutions
    • Executive & Team Coaching
  • Demonstrates leadership to both the client and internal partners, delivering project objectives professionally and with high quality.
  • Instills confidence with the client and serves as a primary public face of Odgers providing high-quality service delivery offering.
  • Effectively executes project forecasts and work schedules implemented by Partner/Principal.
  • Ensures client and project requirements are being met with the highest quality and accuracy through verification and communicating routinely with both the client and internal partners.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with key client representatives with the goal of owning the service delivery relationship.
  • Drives overall client satisfaction through effective coordination and communication/reporting to client deliverables in order to maintain project milestones and key deliverables
  • Consistently delivers proactive communication with clients and when client issues arises addresses those issues or expeditiously escalates to the Partner/Principle.
  • Maintain active projects tracker spreadsheet for delivery work (e.g., search assessments, individual leadership assessments, individual executive coaching projects, and succession projects).
  • Works directly with clients to manage delivery schedules and organize offsites, team working sessions and meetings.
  • Works directly with Partners/Principals/Sr. Consultants/Consultants to support with delivery materials as required (e.g., preparation of presentation materials.
  • Liaise with clients as required to administer leadership assessment, team surveys, 360 and other tools required during an engagement.
  • Manage leadership assessment and coaching activities in support of integrated offerings; track and communicate with participants as required.
  • Manage billing, invoicing and reporting by maintaining log of projects supported and coordinating invoicing and progress payments with Toronto Accounting and Practice Coordinator in charge of client invoicing and liaising with external assessment providers as required to address any contracting or payment requirements.
  • Provide overfill support related to Executive Coaching and Leadership Assessment Project Coordination tasks, as required.

Practice Management Activities (additional tasks assigned as required):

  • Technology and Product Development Support:
    • Super user for PPI/Hogan portal
    • Management of LeaderFit 360 and online surveys using Qualtrics
    • Organize and maintain LP files and records
    • Act as practice representative for technology contracts and system requirements (with clients and internally)
  • Business Development:
    • Contribute to the development of RFPs/proposals to clients related to complex projects (that would then become their project to manage through delivery)
    • Maintain Leadership Practice mailing and client lists
    • Contribute to client research and thought leadership articles
  • Support special LAP Projects as required (e.g., Global or National initiatives)
  • Provide overfill support related to Administrative and Project Coordination Practice tasks, as required.

Education and Experience

  • College/University graduate with PMP designation considered an asset
  • Minimum 3-5 years related project coordination experience within a client service environment (e.g., effective control of all aspects of a project from initial planning through final production)
  • Project Management experience within the Leadership Advisory industry is preferred and will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated success in each of the following areas: development of project plans; balance overall client requirements; development of relationships; and review financial and billing information in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Demonstrated success in the management of multiple simultaneous projects, especially projects of a complex nature involving integrated solutions and multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with survey platform and interest in technology
  • Microsoft Office advanced level

  • Exceptional English language communication skills both written and verbal (French would be an asset) ensuring a strong and confident client presence

Location

We would prefer the individual to be based in Toronto, Ontario or Calgary, Alberta but would be flexible as we operate as a national practice and have offices in Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver.
